Autocomplete examples

Try partial-name lookups and inspect matching entities.

Choose the matching entity

Autocomplete suggests entities based on a partial name. Review the suggestions and select the intended entity; it does not automatically resolve ambiguous matches.

Below are a few common examples to help you find the entity you're looking for.

Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your provisioned key. See Make your first API request for key setup.

Example 1: Find any entities that match "box"

  • Query for a string of "box"
  • Limit response to only 15 results

Example 2: Find an investor that match "mayfield"

  • Query for a string of "Mayfield"
  • Restrict results to investors by using collection_ids=principal.investors

Example 3: Find a category or category group that match "mobile payment"

  • Query for a string of "mobile payment"
  • Restrict results to categories & category groups by using collection_ids=categories,category_groups
  • Limit response to only 10 results
