Legacy Migration Overview

Crunchbase has standardized all data offerings, bringing every form of data ingestion to parity. All legacy API keys have been mapped into the appropriate data package that mirrors the access in your previous plan.

While migration is required, updating your API key ensures long-term scalability for your integrations, seamless access to improved data quality, enhanced ease of use, and a better support experience.

Here's a rundown on what you'll need to do:

  1. Unlock your new API Key
    1. Login to Crunchbase → Go to Account Settings > Integrations > Crunchbase API Key to access your new key.
  2. Update your API mappings based on how you currently ingest Crunchbase data, including:
    1. Calls to the legacy CSV export
    2. Calls to legacy API endpoints and URLs
    3. CRM enrichment through Crunchbase integrations (e.g., Salesforce, Monday.com)
  3. Test and implement your new API key
    1. Update all the relevant mappings and validate that your integration is working correctly
    2. Once you’ve completed that review, let our team know and we’ll deprecate your legacy API key
